Album Details

Artist: Zach Bardon

Album: Senior Recital

Year: 2005

Description: The almost-complete recording of Zach Bardon's senior piano/conducting recital, given on St. Patrick's Day 2005 at NCU.

Credits: drums: Aaron Johnson; bass: Lawrence Pridmore; piano: Andre Rodriguez; keyboard: David Santisteven; acoustic guitar: Jorge Retamal; electric: Matt Juntunen; featuring: The NCU Conducting Lab Choir

The senior recital format for a Church Music major is bipartate: first, a half hour of performance on the major instrument (for Zach, piano); and second, a half hour of conducting, usually with full band arrangements of selected pieces. Zach went above and beyond the call of duty by composing or arranging all but one of his choir pieces, and even wrote one of his classical piano pieces (Moving Theme for a Melodic Instrument). Zach has copy-pasted his program notes into the details about each song. Enjoy!

PS - although there are at least a hundred mistakes in the piano section, Zach wanted us to remind you that before he began studying piano at NCU he pretty much couldn't read piano music!
