The Recording Tour got a writeup in Groove Magazine, a magazine for expats in Korea. Nice! I looked around but couldn't find it in the online version -- evidently it's only in the printed magazine, so unless you're in Korea and you can pick up a March copy of Groove, you'll just have to believe me that it was a nice writeup. I REALLY have to finish mixing this thing.
The Recording Tour of Love is done. Now for lots of mixing and catching the blog up to the present. Enjoy the wait!
My Recording Tour of Love is 3/4 done! I have only one more Loop left, covering the Southwest, and I'm done! Keep yourselves tuned.
It is almost underway! Today marks the launch of the official travel blog I've set up for the tour. Have a look!
I'm beginning preparations for my Summer 2008 Pan-US Tour of Love! Starting in June, I'll be recording three albums' worth of material in three months of touring. Awesome eh? If you live in the States and you'd like me to stop by, drop me an email.

Starring Jessica Lofbomm as the ghost of Christmas present! Speaking of Christmas presents, Jessica approached me about recording a Christmas carol, and it so happens I love arranging those. So I had her over to the studio and we recorded this. Enjoy!
I recently joined CouchSurfing, which is one of the most exciting global web services ever. Basically, it's a community site for travellers and hosts to interact and find each other. Check it.
I've been doing a lot of scripting for KoLmafia, a Java interface for the awesome online game Kingdom of Loathing. You can check out my most lauded scripts at the Script Repository. Hehe.
My excellent host has recently upgraded to PHP 5. Unfortunately, that means some things might not be working and you might find errors. I'm working on it, but I might not find everything right away, so please let me know of any errors you find. Thanks.
Since I was still thinking about it, I just went all out and integrated the metalogin into the Compendium. Now it will track your reading, and allow you to pick your favorites. Whee!
I completely rewrote the Compendium today, again using PHP. As far as your experience is concerned, it's essentially unchanged (although now there's a fun trick when you click the logo), but believe me -- it's super-svelte underneath.
Just added the second batch of Korean student English quotes in the Quotebook. They're great!
A huge load of pictures is up now from my trip to Jeju-do last weekend! Where? Well, I've officially joined Flickr now so they're all up over there. Check it.
Serious renovations on the music site! It took me the better part of two days, but I finally debugged the Flash player, so now HQ streaming audio with a snappy little interface works throughout. In addition, I added my senior recital from my final year at NCU (as a free album), made a new graphic for The Computer Sessions, and cleaned up some code. All around a productive couple days.
New song "I Choose to Lose" just kind of fell together over the last couple days. It's up on my IAC site. From a lyrical perspective, I feel like it says something new. At least, I've never heard this concept expressed before in a song.
Today marks the official launch of Zach Bardon Software version 2.0! I've been working on this for several weeks now. Product info pages still need work, but otherwise it's a beaut. Come get your funky needs supplied.
Just checked download.com and noticed that m3u-HTML Converter is sitting at 3,885 downloads! Not bad considering it's not even finished...
The Metapage now has RSS news feeds for each sitelet, personally hand-coded by yours truly, including a smart little backend that you can't even see unless you're logged in as me. Now you can stay Metapage-savvy with any RSS reader.
Restyled the Crown Vic sitelet. Or rather, finished the job I started last time.
A new chapter "My English students" in the Quotebook. Some great stuff.
Completely rewrote the site's storage of What's Gnu, to allow for modularity and eventual RSS syndication.
Added a nifty Flash player to the music site. Still working on the backend, integrating it into the site better.
Added a "Flangitize it!" link at the bottom of the files in the Compendium. It's great!
Launched the newest sitelet on the Metapage: the Vocabularium! Mean more.
New chapters in the Quotebook -- "Music" and "Love and Misery."
Restyled the Friend Finder. It's prettier now.
Revamped the Royalty site, including repackaging the downloadable files.
Launched the Metapage's new table-less layout with drop-down navigation. (ver. 3.0)
New picture catalogue: "Cloning Gone Awry"
Rebuilt the Friend Finder using PHP. It's a lot more reliable now, plus it's easier for me to add friends! Possibly you will see the ability to edit pages (like a Wiki) in the future.
Just today Zach finished remastering his composer's recital, and the mp3s are available for download!
Completely redid the Crown Victoria Memorial Web Site! Now sporting a brand new look and some new information. I figured since it hadn't really changed since 1998 it was time for a fresh look.
Added a new "Academic" category to the Compendium, containing a bunch of papers and such I've written throughout my academic career. Enjoy!
Converted all the picture catalogues to use PHP! That means most of the pictures have captions now, and the ones that don't, you can write your own! Fun! Plus, there's a new catalogue: "Scanner Art." Check it!
Revamped the Compendium. It's chic now, with simpler navigation.
Cleaned up the Zach-Approved HQ, and added my new favorite musician, Shiina Ringo!
From the "Blessed Hope" live concert posters. 1024x768.
Come on down friends! Bordertown is a coffeeshop around 16th & University where Zach will be playing at around 8:15pm. If you have a Zach favorite, come on over and request it. While you're at it, buy coffee.
Gave the Metapage an even newer look in time for tax day (ver. 2.5)
Added Lesson #2, How To Talk Like A Pirate, to the How to Talk Good tutorial!
Check it! Lots of Zach's early guitar/whistle ideas.
Zach and fellow singer/songwriter Amaryah played at Bordertown (a little north of 16th Ave. and University, by the U). Zach did a lot of his songs, and really started to feel internal pressure to finish some of his newer songs underway. Also, Amaryah did her usual "playing good music" thing, performing one of Zach's new favorite songs, which is probably called something like "Today's Been a Long Week."
There it was, Zach's hour(s) of glory. Zach hopes that if you came, you enjoyed it, and that if you didn't come, you had a really good excuse...
Gave the Metapage a new look for 2005 (ver. 2.0)
Officially launched my music site!
Two new guest authors in the "Friends" section of the Compendium! (Aaron Bannin - "Burgerama", and David Hughes - "How to Cook")
Zach's first coffeeshop gig was at Betsy's Back Porch in Minneapolis, opening for talented local songwriter Jeremy Messersmith.
Zach and brilliant songwriter Jeremy Wilson did a joint concert for the NCU campus and surrounding community. Some of your favorites, as well as a whole lot of new stuff. A strong musician lineup, including many musical guests. It was a great show and a lot of fun. Special thanks to the friends that made it out or up or over.
Work begins on the Zach Bardon Official Music Site. The Mayor of Zach's brain began the design and construction process by throwing the first shovelful of imagination over his left shoulder, to a 21-chord salute.
Restructured Quotebook and Survey Archives, and added some quotes!
Hear Sam Leo read the Seat Cushion Announcement!
Added a "Signs" picture catalogue in Personal Stuff
Renovated "Personal Stuff" page
Added "Friends" section to the Compendium!
New editorial "Communication Avenue" in the Compendium, and a few more quotes.
Cleaned up the Crown Victoria Memorial Page -- also added "Accidents" and "Info" pages
Completely overhauled the file and directory structure, as the new goodstewards.net page goes online. Almost every filename changed. (!) Also gave the site a little bit of a new look (ver. 1.5).
New story "The Day the Sun Stopped Shining" in the Compendium
I became an Honourary Canadian!
Some great new mottos, and a new survey in Personal Stuff
Still more quotes in the quotebook
Added a daily vocabulary word to the main page (it has since been moved to the Vocabularium)
Added a batch of quotes to the quotebook
Started keeping a record of "What's Gnu."
My Live Concert CD "Blessed Hope" available for purchase from my site
Converted the site to use stylesheets! This probably makes no difference to you, but it is a much better way to make web pages.
New poem "Birdsong" in the Compendium
Some new quotes in the quotebook
Zach Bardon's Metapage begins! The first web page I ever made was the Crown Victoria Memorial.
